Box Springs and Compatibility
1 Comment Published by brian yalung July 12th, 2008 in BED Accesorries, BED News, Bed Designs.
Beds and mattresses are not spared from the usual wear and tear. But while many would want to solve the issue by immediately considering buying new ones, it may not be the wisest thing for people who want to spend wisely.
Our old beds and mattresses can still do. You can always just consider replacing the dilapidated part. In these cases, it is the bed basics such as the box springs. It is indeed a better option considering that it can save a lot. A word of caution though, be sure the bed part is compatible. Trying to use something different may entirely be dangerous and provide you discomfort.
On the sales room floor you may be told that the mattress and box spring are designed to work together. Indeed, the material cover on the new mattress and older box spring won’t match, and, depending on the mattress you are buying, it might be inadequately supported by the old box spring. You might also hear that you must include a box spring to protect the mattress warranty. But be sure you read just what the warranty covers.

Costa Del Sol Bed

The only way I can afford a Ralph Lauren bed is if I rob a bank ! However looking doesn’t cost any money thankfully. The latest object of my affection is the Costa Del Sol Bed, which has a beautiful bell-curved headboard. Somehow the round finial-crowned posts give this Castilian iron bed a surprisingly feminine grace.
Finish:
Antique Black Paint
White Paint
Materials:
Steel base
Standard Features:
Support for box spring and mattress provided.

Platform beds have become extremely popular, especially among the young generation of today. Why? Partially because they are generally much more inexpensive than their frame-counterparts, which is mainly because you do not have to purchase a box spring in order to sleep comfortably and with good support. They are also popular because they have such a minimalist style, with simple, straightforward lines and usually deep colors. Inexpensive or not, the platform bed is not a fad that is going to disappear in a few months or years, but rather is here to stay for the simple fact that people love them.
Lifestyle Solutions Furniture has their own take on a platform bed. Known as the Pacifica Platform Bed, this platform bed is unique in a very special way. Rather than a solid headboard, it has wide horizontal slats and a solid foot board. It also has center support legs to give the bed much more strength than the traditional platform bed has. It has a cappuccino finish and is ideal for a single person, or a large family, as no matter how many people climb onto the bed on a lazy Sunday, the solid frame will be able to support them.

Marie Upholstered Bed
2 Comments Published by colbert April 25th, 2008 in BED Contemporary, BED FUN, BED Frame. The Marie bed was designed with a warm and welcoming feel. The gentle curves and mild styling made the Marie Bed special. The designs are crafted on maple and poplar, which are the materials for the bed. The bed is fully upholstered with nailhead trim on the footboard and headboard. The bun feet at the bottom were finished in dark walnut stain so that it’ll coordinates with the colors of the bed. The wide rails covered up the box spring so there’s a “no need” for bed skirt.

Bedrooms Not Used Primarily for Sleeping
1 Comment Published by brian yalung April 24th, 2008 in BED Activities, BED News.
As far as bedrooms are concerned, each time we hear of them, it should normally point towards to rest and sleep. Apparently this is not being the case based on a survey. Bedrooms are associated as well with sex, watching television and reading. Work is likewise inserted in the fray and it makes you wonder where are rest and sleep inside all of these?
Based on a survey, it seems apparent that most people have other use for bedrooms today. There are a lot of factors to consider. Apparently we all lack the proper knowledge to understand what it really is.
A national survey of home life by Ikea found that besides sleeping, the most popular activities in bed are watching TV, having sex and reading. But almost half of Americans (44 percent) said they spend more time working than sleeping on their beds, and more men than women are likely to work while in bed.
The bed is also not a spot for catching up: More than three times as many people - 30 percent - watch TV in bed, rather than talk to their significant other (9 percent).

Offices in large cities these days tend toward design schemes that are simple yet striking. They like straight lines and dark, deep colors. If you like the look of offices with that modern touch, then the Barbados Daybed is the perfect bed for you. This bed is unlike any other daybed that the Lifestyle Solutions Furniture company makes.
Known for simple and sleek designs, the Lifestyle Solutions Furniture company is always the first place to look when you are searching for a solid and clean design. The Barbados Daybed, however, goes above and beyond anything that they’ve made before. This bed, unlike most daybeds, has no back. When you are sitting and relaxing on a daybed, the back often becomes a problem, especially if you do not have hundreds of pillows. This bed, however, allows you to push it directly up against the wall for support, or it can be used to give more of a duvet feel. If you choose to add the mattress and bolster pillows, you will have a beautiful, modern daybed that will work easily in any bedroom, living room, or even in an office, matching your other décor perfectly.
